Cloth Covered Boards. this is a very old book, but no date appears, perhaps because it was a private printing. the author of the book was the supreme grand master fraternitas rosae crucius, and the book was issued with the authority of the "supreme exalted hierarch and master of the entire world of the temples of mizraim, mithra, osiris, and horus-isis." red cloth-covered-boards with gold decorative design on front cover depicting two esoteric symbols and a pattern depicting the sun, the sky and water, gold titles on spine, edge-wear all round, with boards starting to show at corners and spine-ends where cloth is fraying, corners also bumped and thumbed, general wear along spine, light soiling on front cover, (light- brown smudges) faintly distributed over surface, shelf-wear on back cover as well in the form of some ghost-marks and faint soiling. some muslin showing at front inside gutter, sticker residue at front end-paper near top of page, 1/4" damp-stain at left edge of end-paper, light finger-print-mark on 2nd fly-leaf, title-page printed with same group of symbols that appear on front cover and type explaining: "a work setting forth the egyptian mystery in all its beauty..." back-side of same page soiled with brown curved 2" mark (very light) and light brown smudge at bottom of page, next page (another flyleaf) imprinted with seal of "supreme exalted temple of the world f. s. o. o." and explains the books affliliation with said organization, what follows is a dedication page to author's wife, and then a preface, followed by the text of the book, following pages appear to be generally free from soil-marks except for an occasional rust mark (specifically on page 10, 11, 254) or thumb-print, (p. 16, 143, the latter page has also been folded over, and is creased), back end-paper with light soiling (faint brown smudge near out-side edge of page), starting to show muslin at back gutter. and both front and back end-papers show faint border of rust-color around outside 1/4" of page.
